‘Mohican Miles’ is an exhibit curated by the Stockbridge­–Munsee Community’s Cultural Affairs Department in collaboration with the Trustees of Reservations. The exhibit covers a wide range of topics, spanning from the history of the Tribe, to the current work of the Historic Preservation Office, and is on view at the Mission House Museum in Stockbridge, MA. We hope that you will be able to visit our exhibit in person, but until then, this digital space is here to teach you about the Stockbridge-Munsee Community, past and present.

 

In our Mohican Miles exhibit, we hope that you appreciate how self-representation of our stories in this space and throughout our homelands has been made all the more imperative due to the painful removal and erasure from our original homelands by European Colonial settlers and their descendants.
